Marina O’Brien
Marina Veljanovska O’Brien is an attorney at The Wicks Group law firm with a background in international trade law, commercial litigation, and crossborder transactions. Her practice includes counseling and representing U.S. and foreign-based airlines, airport authorities, airport management firms, manufacturers and distributors of hazardous materials, and trade associations on matters related to regulatory compliance and enforcement, litigation, and commerce. Clients issues have involved corporate compliance with international aviation safety regulations, UN and U.S. sanctions, and obligations under the multilateral nuclear deal for Iran, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). She also assists clients with crossborder transactions and compliance matters in Europe and Africa. She previously worked as a legal consultant to the World Bank. She is fluent in Macedonian, Bulgarian, Serbian, and Croatian. She received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.
