UNA-NCA International Career Social Media Forum

UNA-NCA is excited to start our international career and social media forums. Come join us on August 6, 2012 from 5 to 5:30 pm on Twitter or Facebook and ask our guest Mark Engman, the Director of Public Policy and Advocacy for the US Fund for UNICEF about his career and what made him decide to focus on foreign policy and international development. He also plays a key role in developing and implementing advocacy strategies that create funding results for UNICEF and its cause.

His educational journey began at Colorado College majoring in Math and History. His Peace Corps experience led him into foreign policy and he attended The John Hopkins University-Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) where he achieved his Master of Arts in American Foreign Policy. He was also Book Review Editor for the The SAIS Review of International Affairs. Mr. Engman's decided to continue at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania where he earned an MBA in Public Policy and Management.

Our guest is not your average director he often contributes to UNICEF's Field Notes blog, which focuses on UNICEF's Child Survival and Development work in the Field. One of his most popular blog entries focuses on child brides. He uses his blog entries to highlight issues of importance to UNICEF, and to promote the need for appropriate policies and funding so that UNICEF can continue to help millions around the world.

UNA-NCA is honored to have Mr. Mark Engman as our guest and we are inviting UNA-NCA members, non-members, young professionals, and our Facebook and Twitter followers to RSVP to our international career social media forum.
