Please join the United Nations Association of the National Capital Area's Young Professionals on Saturday, May 12th, 2012 for our signature event: International Career Dinners. Dive into the realms of internationally focused careers and be a part of this one of a kind experience. The evening will consist of a networking reception, where you'll mingle with esteemed guest speakers with extensive backgrounds in various international fields. Following the reception, you will have the opportunity to connect with some of Washington's top experts in a field of your choice over an intimate, casual dinner. Sustainable Development Networking Mixer

UNA-NCA chapter members, guests, and other area professionals and university students are invited to meet and mingle with individuals interested, studying, or working in climate change issues and United Nations sustainable development initiatives. This month we head to Science Club. Please look for our group near the UNA-NCA Sustainable Development sign. You must RSVP if you want to attend this event. The closest Metro station is Farragut North/West.

The United Nations Association of the National Capital Area Sustainable Development Committee promotes understanding of the impact of climate change, the priority attention being given to the issues by Secretary-General of the United Nations, and the responsibilities of governments and citizens to act. The committee is also committed to increasing awareness and support of the Millennium Development Goals.

UNA-NCA Spring Model UN Conference

Over 600 middle and high school GCDC Model UN students will participate this year in discussions on metals and mining, the human rights of migrant workers, child soldiers, and the situation in Colombia.
Ronan Farrow, Special Adviser to the Secretary of State for Global Youth Issues and Director of the State Department's Global Youth Issues office will speak at this years Global Classroom DC 2012 Spring Model UN Conference.
