POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Hub Coordinator(s)* will:
 
1) Recruit UNA-NCA members in VA and MD Congressional districts.  UNA-NCA’s footprint includes all of DC and Maryland, and the following parts of Northern Virginia:

· Congressional Districts: Northern Virginia is part of the 1st, 5th, 7th, 8th, 10th, and 11th congressional districts. These districts also span into other areas further south of Virginia.

· Counties: Caroline, Culpeper, Fairfax, Fauquier, Loudon, Prince William, Rappahannock, Spotsylvania, Stafford.

· Independent Cities: Alexandria, Fairfax, Falls Church, Fredericksburg, Manassas, and Manassas Park.


2) Develop small Congressional “networks” primarily for Digital advocacy. For instance; two or three UNA-NCA members per network for the respective Hubs.


3) Respond (Hubs/Networks) to VP Advocacy and Advocacy Associate calls for action.


4) Provide feedback to VP Advocacy, Advocacy Associate, and in some cases, other UNA-NCA staff.

 
5) Check Advocacy webpage and UNE weekly for timely messaging and alert respective “networks”: VA, MD and, in some cases, DC.


6) Report follow-up from Congressional offices (including requests) to Advocacy Associate, VP Advocacy.


7) Communicate with "networks" about Advocacy Training and other UNA-NCA events and programs.

 

Prefer TWO members per Hub Role for VA, MD, and DC -- for “backup” purposes.
