Francisca Chinelo Ekwonu
Francisca Chinelo Ekwonu has over five years’ experience volunteering and working in the Nigerian health, human and social development space. Here, Francisca promotes the right of girls and women especially the right to quality education and safe learning environment, the right to quality healthcare and reproductive health as well as the right to decent work and safe working environment. 

Her passion for the safety and integral development of women led her to launch the “New Girl On Campus (NGOC), ” a campus based initiative that fights against the many abuses of female students in Nigerian universities including sextortion. Francisca is also the Monitoring, Evaluation and Compliance Officer at the Centre for Social Awareness, Advocacy and Ethics (CSAAE), an international nonprofit dedicated to helping young people build great careers, cultivate a spirit of entrepreneurship, become leaders of character and embrace their roles as critical actors in building a better Africa. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science from the University of Jos, Nigeria and has spoken at national and international capacity building events for university students, civil society organizations and religious groups.
