Christie Smith (she/her) is the Director of Employment Services at AsylumWorks, a DC-based nonprofit that works with asylum seekers and humanitarian migrants. With over a decade of experience working alongside refugees, asylum seekers, and migrants, Christie's passion is for fostering inclusive education and career spaces for English language learners. She holds a BA in Global Studies, an MA in International Education Policy, and a graduate certificate in Nonprofit Management, all from Maryland universities. In her current work, she supports asylum seekers in their short and long term career development.
