Presented by the Sustainable Development Committee

The UN Global Goals at Home program is an essential framework for understanding and acting towards equitable climate justice planning and policy in the United States. The UNA-NCA Sustainable Development Committee has partnered with organizations such as the DC Department of Energy and the Environment, Inclusive Prosperity Capital, and the Anacostia Waterway Society to speak about those areas of equitable climate justice which are being addressed through local, state and federal priorities currently, as well as those areas of equitable climate justice which exhibit room for growth in access. This event will increase public understanding and active advocacy for UN priorities like sustainable development, climate adaptation and resilience, and contextualization of progress towards achieving the SDGs across Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.
