The United Nations Association of the National Capital Area (UNA-NCA) is now accepting applications for the position of Executive Assistant Intern (“Executive Assistant”) in the office of the UNA-NCA President and Chair of the UNA-USA National Council.UNA-NCA is an independent 501(c)(3) that works in partnership with UN agencies, the United Nations Association of the USA (UNA-USA), and dozens of partners in the Washington metropolitan region. UNA-NCA is not a division of the United Nations.

The United Nations Association of the National Capital Area (UNA-NCA) is a not-for-profit membership based organization that works to build knowledge, visibility and support for the United Nations, its specialized agencies, and its relationship with the United States. The Advocacy Committee is responsible for pursuing policy from the global to local level, advancing United States implementation of global policy goals and ensuring inclusive sustainable development outcomes.UNA-NCA is accepting applications for the role of Legislative Assistant for its Advocacy Team. This position is a 3-month, part-time, unpaid internship available to both current students (undergraduates and graduates) and recent graduates. The Legislative Assistant will have the opportunity to participate in Congressional meetings, advocacy trainings, professional development/networking sessions, and more exclusive opportunities to engage with UN leadership.

Program assistants will gain experience working in a small, non-profit environment and exposure to a variety of communications, design, membership, events, development, and general administrative tasks. This position is ideal for those interested in non-profit management and will provide hands-on experience as an integral member of the team.The United Nations Association of the National Capital Area (UNA-NCA) is accepting Communications & Design Assistant applications for its Programs & Membership (P&M) Team. The Communications & Design Assistant position is a part-time, unpaid internship opportunity available to both current students (undergraduates and graduates) and recent graduates.
Weekly time commitment: 20-32 hours
This position is unpaid, but volunteer hours or school credit are available.Global Classrooms DC (GCDC) is UNA-NCA’s flagship education program. GCDC aims to educate youth in the Washington DC area on the world around them through Model United Nations. Program Assistants with GCDC will gain experience working in a small, non-profit environment and exposure to a variety of different tasks, including social media promotion, research and development, and preparing conference background guides and materials related to global education and Model United Nations. This position is ideal for those interested in international relations, non-profit management, program development, and education, and will provide hands-on experience as an integral member of the team. This position also allows assistants to participate in a variety of professional development tools and seminars during their time.
