Alex May
GCDC Program Assistant
Alex May works as GCDC Program Assistant for UNA-NCA. He recently graduated with an M.A. in International Security and a B.A. in Global Affairs both from George Mason University. He has been involved in Model UN since he started college and led George Mason’s Model UN organization as its president for two years. Previously he has worked a variety of jobs including open-source intelligence gathering, helping students find opportunities to study abroad and most recently tutoring refugees from Afghanistan. His family’s military background has allowed him to see many countries growing up and those experiences were key in shaping his interest in international affairs. During his time in Europe he learned German and took advantage of numerous study abroad opportunities in Germany, Austria, Hungary and the United Kingdom. There’s so much more of the world to see and Alex hopes to eventually plant his feet on every continent.
