Ambassador Michael Klosson is a thirty-year veteran of the Department of State where he served as a career Foreign Service officer in Washington, Asia and Europe. His postings included Ambassador in Cyprus, Consul General in Hong Kong, Acting Ambassador in the Netherlands and Sweden, deputy director of NATO, and special assistant to the Secretary of State. After he retired from the Foreign Service, he served for 14 years as Save the Children’s Vice President of Policy and Humanitarian Response. Ambassador Klosson has taught at the Eisenhower School of National Security and Resources Strategy and three times at Hamilton College as the Linowitz visiting professor of International Affairs. He has two masters degrees from Princeton University.
