The Graduate Fellows Program Coordinator will oversee the administration and coordination of the UNA-NCA Graduate Fellows Program. This role involves managing program logistics, supporting fellows, coordinating events and activities, and ensuring the smooth operation of the program. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.


Management & Evaluation

  • Work directly with the President, Managing Director of Programs & Membership, Graduate Fellows Program (GFP) leaders/co-directors, and others to ensure efficient execution of the GFP and other UNA-NCA education initiatives
  • Initiate and manage actions and processes identified by the President to achieve organizational and programmatic successes
  • In coordination with the President, Finance Vice Chair and GFP leaders, develop a business plan that includes revenue and expense projections for five years, including a sustainable fundraising strategy that includes building relationships with corporate and foundation partners, UNA-NCA board members and other interested parties
  • In coordination with the President, execute tasks approved by GFP leaders
  • In cooperation with Managing Director of Programs & Membership, hire, train, supervise, and support GFP Program Assistant(s) from area universities
  • In consultation with GFP leaders recruit outside subject-matter experts for weekly presentations and for the GFP mentoring program
  • Manage and develop program budgets and make recommendations for approval of expenditures and programmatic expenses by the President
  • Manage program documentation, including marketing materials, data bases, software for Fellows’ applications, application review processes, attendance records, syllabus and other academic records, post-program surveys, annual reports, photographic archives, and other program documentation
  • Update webpage and develop curriculum in coordination with Managing Director of Programs & Membership and GFP leaders
  • Manage weekly Fellows academic sessions, including procurement of classroom space, technical setup for hybrid class meetings as required, management of attendance records, provision of weekly background notes to Fellows, documentation of Fellows’ required weekly assignment work
  • Manage the GFP mentoring program in coordination with GFP leaders
  • Manage GFP evaluations (surveys) and prepare report
  • Participate in other UNA-NCA organizational activities as directed
  • Represent UNA-NCA and GFP at select outreach events, including workshops, presentations, etc.


Program Partners & Development

  • Support the UNA-NCA development team by identifying funding opportunities and drafting grant requests
  • In cooperation with the President and GFP leaders, develop and maintain relationships with funders and program partners
  • Cooperate with communications and development teams for fundraising events and online campaigns
  • Engage and coordinate with program partners including UNA-USA, UN and government agencies, local universities, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and others
  • Work with the President to develop new program partners in areas of curriculum development, Fellows recruitment strategy, fundraising, and events

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Education, International Affairs, Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • At least 1-2 years of experience in program coordination or administration, preferably in an academic or non-profit setting.
    • Experience in event planning and project management.
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with database management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attributes:
    • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with diverse groups.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience working in higher education or with graduate students.
  • Knowledge of CRM systems or other database software.
  • Background in budget management and financial oversight.
