Mckenzie Mixon is a Law Student at CUA, Columbus School of Law. Mckenzie earned her undergraduate degree in Public Policy, with a second major in Global Studies (concentration in International Politics, Nation-States, and Social Movements) and a minor in Social and Economic Justice, from UNC-Chapel Hill. Mckenzie’s commitment to societal improvement has driven her interest in environmental law, a field where she aspires to make significant contributions. As a proactive member of her law school’s Environmental Law Society, and the Co-Founder and Co-President of First Generation Law Student Union, Mckenzie is spearheading initiatives to enhance the school’s focus on community, networking, and bridging the gap between legal frameworks and public understanding. Mckenzie aims to foster a more environmentally conscious society, leveraging her knowledge and skills to champion sustainable policies and practices. Her goal is to create a lasting, positive impact on the environment through legal and community-driven approaches.
