Jason Mack

Jason Mack is the Counselor for Economic Affairs at the U.S. Embassy to Italy. A career member of the U.S. Foreign Service, Mr. Mack most recently served as the Counselor for Economic and Social Affairs at the U.S. Mission to the United Nations in New York. Prior to that, he was the Acting U.S. Permanent Representative to the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, Switzerland.
Mr. Mack’s prior assignments include Tel Aviv, Israel; Buenos Aires, Argentina; the State Department’s Executive Secretariat for the Secretaries of State Condoleezza Rice and Hillary Clinton; the Office of Central American Affairs; Athens, Greece; and Panama City, Panama.
During his Foreign Service career, Mr. Mack has received numerous individual and group Superior and Meritorious Honor Awards. A native of New York, he holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, and completed post-graduate studies in International Relations at the University of Chile in Santiago, Chile. Mr. Mack speaks Spanish and French.
