Micaela Leonarte Paredes, is one of the founders of the Ratify Movement and a Public Policy student at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. She has experience running and working for local and state campaigns as part of 50+1 Strategists and independently as Field Director and Assistant Treasurer, at the state government at the Board of Equalization, and international and local NGOs like the Foundation for Sustainable Development. Micaela has academic research experience in plastic reduction, GMOs and river blindness in Burkina Faso and Togo, and on the African refugee population in the US. Most recently, Micaela became a contributing author to the book "Make Shift Happen", about behavioral interventions for sustainability, implemented ordinances as a public policy fellow at the City and County of San Francisco’s Department on the Status of Women, served as a staffer at a local campaign, worked implementing eco-friendly behavior in campuses and Bay Area counties with NGO Root Solutions, is a member of the United Nation Association of San Francisco, co-chair of the Behavioral Students Insights group at Harvard, a United Nations NGO Commission on the Status of Women (2021) panelist, and a member of the advisory board of the Democratic Youth Coalition.
